About Me

My name is Alison Vallance and I am a qualified Civil Funeral Celebrant living in Harrow, Middlesex.

The death of my father, grandmother and father-in-law within six months of each other in 2013 opened my eyes to the variety of funerals that are now available.  All three were very different but all brought comfort to the family and friends both on the day and in the time afterwards.

My aim is to make sure every funeral ceremony I conduct brings the same sense of love and peace for the families I support.  The tone will be appropriate to the person.   The music, readings and any other symbolism will reflect who they were and how they wish to be remembered.

Regardless of the circumstances of the person’s death, or the details of their life, I will create a funeral that says goodbye with thought, respect and dignity.

I have trained with Civil Ceremonies Ltd. and gained the highest qualification possible in Funeral Celebrancy.  This covered meeting with families, writing tributes, choosing readings and music and delivering entire funeral ceremonies.  I am also a member of The Institute of Civil Funerals (IoCF) who monitor the quality of my work through regular assessments and feedback from families. So you can be assured that I have the knowledge, understanding and personal commitment to create a funeral ceremony that will truly honour the life of your loved one.
